3D Animation Reel 2023 (First Year) by Quantay Peoples

Self-character design created by Quantay Peoples using the Polycam iPhone app for facial scanning, Unreal Engine 5 for MetaHuman creation, and Blender for modeling. This character is rigged and animation ready.

“Behind The Scenes” and “Switching Gears,” Honda Stage ft. Austin Millz are promos that allowed Quantay Peoples to assist the Director of Photography, video edit the presented content, and create the on-screen renders in the background all while on-site with production.

Quantay Peoples works closely with Directors, Notch / D3 programmers, and artists to create immersive renders that enhance stage designs for events like the Grammys, VMAs, Coachella, NYFW, and countless tours such as Bad Bunny’s “World’s Hottest Tour.”

“Gang Over Luv” & “Lost Souls”: Stage visuals for Brent Faiyaz. Quantay Peoples composited a chroma-keyed crowd into a 3D scene and keyframed light hits to the BPM of the music.

Quantay Peoples received a Digital Imaging Technician Film Credit for the opening shot of this IMAX short film by Kanye West called “Jesus Is King”.

This is the opening shot of “Unrecognizable” by music artist, BVM. This was the first time that Quantay Peoples shot, directed, and edited a music video. This allowed him to manage small teams and collaborate with the artist.

For Bad Bunny’s Coachella performance (which made history as the first latin artist to headline Coachella), Quantay Peoples composited 2D elements into 3D scenes using Adobe After Effects.

Quantay Peoples completed this project with a quick turnaround for Anderson .Paak’s 2019 Grammy Nods. That year Anderson .Paak received two Grammy’s.

Bad Bunny’s “P FKN R” show in Puerto Rico: From the crowds’ perspective, we can see the stage visuals that Quantay Peoples created using 2D assets, appearing to float in 3D!

Lauv’s Seoul Festival 2024: Quantay Peoples is fully capable of creating simple character animations.

BIOGRAPHY

Quantay Peoples was born in Flint, Michigan, graduated school in Orlando, Florida, and is now pursuing his dreams in Los Angeles, California. He is a VFX Artist / 3D Animator that works in live entertainment.

His goal is to blend progressive visuals with innovative technology to enhance atmospheric stage designs. He stays on top of industry leading trends in order to breathe life into fresh and new ideas.
